CASE that Pin - Blog Hop
Welcome to our September Blog Hop! Only a few more months and we will have made it an entire year. Thanks for sticking with us! This month it was my turn to choose the theme and so I decided that with Pinterest being so popular, we'd show you how to utilize it to make hand made cards and other projects with your Stampin' Up! supplies. CASE stands for Copy And Share Everything.
This is the card that inspired me. Thank you Shanna Gaff! You can visit her current posts here or click on the image to link to Pinterest.
SUPPLY LIST:
I made this adorable "Candy!" card using the Candy Corn from Halloween Hello (131721). Did you know that Candy Corn originated in the 1900's and was first produced by Jelly Belly? I'm actually a fan of Brach's myself but I honestly don't think I've ever had Jelly Belly's version. Candy Corn is a favorite in my family this time of year.
To get just the "Candy!" portion of the stamp I used a trimmed Post-it R to mask the rest of the stamp, stamped it in the ink and then removed the mask before stamping it on the card stock. This is the card that inspired me. I also thought I'd make something 3-D and so here is what I came up with. After all, I needed a reason to give someone a card that says "Candy!" on it. I simply colored on the Muslin Bag (132180) with the Stampin' Write TM Markers and spritzed it with water and used the Aquapainter TM to blend it. After letting it dry overnight, I filled it with Candy Corn. Super easy and fun! Yum!

Those are adorable! I also LOVE candy corn, so I may just have to CASE this idea from you. The bag is absolutely fantastic! I never would have thought about coloring it in like that - clever!
ReplyDeleteVery cute card and awesome idea with the muslin bag!! :)
ReplyDeleteSomeone had their smarty pants on! I LOVE your muslin bag! The card is cute with those little candy corns, such a fun gift!
ReplyDeleteI love your projects! I can't wait to decorate muslin bags. What a fun Halloween card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card! This is a great case. I didn't know that Jelly Belly first made candy corn! I like Brach's too. I like how the middle ribbon peeks out from under the sentiment. I am going to have to try this. I also like how the chevron folder is only on 3/4 of the page adding interest and leaving white space. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteJulie, isn't it funny that our projects are so similar. You know what they say..."great minds think alike".
