Blog Hop: Step it Up April
Welcome back to our monthly Step It Up Hop! We hope this new hop style helps many different levels of stampers. Thank you for joining us this month and as always, we hope you have a happy and creative one.
For my card I stamped in a masked area so I thought I'd show you just how that was done. First I picked a frame and for that I used one of the Ovals Collection Framelits TM. Then I placed it where I wanted it and secured it with PostIt TM notes and simply sponged and stamped in the oval with the scene I wanted. Make sure you make your mask big enough to cover the entire card. I did not and as you can see, I marked up the edge of the card. Boo.
See how pretty the original version is? This is where stepping it up comes in handy because I needed to cover up my oops.
I trimmed down the original layer of Whisper White and matted it on Watermelon Wonder and then on Soft Suede. The frame is made out of the Oval Framelits TM.
