Blog Hop: Step It Up May

Welcome back to our monthly Step It Up Hop! We hope our hop style helps many different levels of stampers. Thank you for joining us this month and as always, we hope you have a happy and creative one.

I am glad that I waited (my post was late) to create these cards because I am so pleased with how they turned out. First off, I did make two cards this time side by side. I don't know that it makes a difference but in this case, I knew I would want them both.

This first card is so simple and clean. I love that! It gets your point across and is still a spectacular card.

I "stepped up" this card by adding the line of twine and more flags. For the twine I punched a tiny hole and threaded it through to the back to keep the edges looking clean. Then I added more flags and flipped up the tips to add some dimension. Hint: If you plan to do this, only glue the top half of the flag. I found that out the hard way...

**Several of the items I used are retiring so if you'd like to get them before their gone (and you have to pay ridiculous prices on eBay) place your order now using Hostess Code: BGBZA9JB

As always, thank you for stopping by! To see what the other bloggers stepped up cards look like hop on over to Julie by clicking below:
