Blog Hop: Happy Spring Birthday

We've decided to change a few things going forward. From now on or until we decide to mix it up again we will be going with a monthly theme. We hope you continue to join us each month for our little bit of creativity.

This month we could choose from Birthdays or Spring and so I chose to combine the two for a Spring Birthday.

I recently had the opportunity to receive my Stamparatus. The procrastinator in me decided it would be a good idea to use it to make my card the night before the hop but I ran into a few problems that I need to work out in the future. The big one was ink transfer and clean up. I am not someone that has wipes on hand and the Stampin' Scrub is my cleaner of choice but they don't work so well together. My first card was a mess. It was too big of an attempt so I switched to using only 2 stamps.

I colored everything in with the Stampin' Blends (currently unavailable for purchase) but you could have used watercolor pencils or one of the many other coloring tools we offer.

The gift from the bird is just a few snips and pulls from some ribbon.

This is the inside of the card. When the card base is dark I like to cut a 4" x 5.25" piece of Whisper White to put inside. I have been trying to stamp it more often than not these days.

Thank you so much for joining us! It's a short hop this month. Visit Cheryl next and be sure to leave us all lots of love. We really appreciate it. Happy Spring!

    1. I used a bit of linen thread or hemp maybe and tinsel trim (from the previous holiday catalog.)

  2. I love your color combo and the ribbon in the bird's beak. I need to step up my game with regard to the inside of the card. This is super cute!
