We Create Halloween Blog Hop

Can you believe it's October?! I went on a trip in the first half of the month. I planned it over a month before that and now it's a memory. Time flies.

I decided to go with a candy bar cover and a licorice broom. They're easy and always cute. I went big with the candy because I couldn't bring myself to pay practically the same amount for less than half as much. This is an 8pk of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (Gone moments after I took this picture.)

Here is a close up of the cover. You could easily downsize this to a regular sized candy bar. The tag and bats are raised with Dimensionals. I used the Layering Circles Framelits on both projects. I did not include the measurements for this project. Simply measure the candy bar you are using and score and fold accordingly.

You can't see in this pic but the Designer Series Paper wraps around the top behind the tag and then the cord wraps around it.

Here are the broom bristles before they are wrapped around the licorice. Score at 1" as you see here and snip to the line. Measurements below.

  2. I love the licorice broom!!!! I have not ever seen this before! I'm going to make this for my coworkers, but I think I might use a Pretzel stick dipped in chocolate. I thought about using that star piece from the Festive Farmhouse for Halloween too. Great idea! I also, like the polka dot embossing on the candy bar wrapper. Great projects!
