Shoebox Swap: In The Pines - Season's Greetings

I was recently invited to participate in a shoebox swap. I decided to do most of the stamping since my card required some considerable assembly and lots of die cutting. The participants embossed the card base and assembled the rest of the card.

Here are my tips for perfect placement:

First, stamp and cut out all the trees: One set of four trees, two tall skinny trees (one not pictured here),one small skinny tree and one large tree (Shaded Spruce).

1. Start with the set of four trees. I did it from the front but you could turn them over like you see above. 
2. Attach the tall skinny tree next by matching the stump to the tiniest tree stump in the set of four trees. 
3. Attach the large tree (Shaded Spruce) by matching it to the base of the first tree (just above the stump) in the set (far left when facing front)
4. Attach the small skinny tree to the large tree (Shaded Spruce) by matching the base of the tree to the bottom of the branches. 
5. Attach the last tree to the group. I placed the lower branch to hide the bottom of the stump of the small skinny tree next to it. It will slightly overlap the plaid and you will have to snip off a little bit of the stump to hide it behind the bow. (See first pic of card) 

It is kind of automatic for me to put things together like this. That way, if I have to make another or show someone else, it is easy to share.

*I didn't use the correct sandwich on my 3D Embossing Folder so it is kind of faint. I need a new platform I since I have the old version.

• Standard Card Size Folded Horizontal: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" 
• Stamped Card Layer: 4" x 5-1/4"
• Inside Card Layer: 4" x 5-1/4"
