Play Along: Calm & Quiet Hello Card

Sometimes you need some help while making a card for a friend. The image was stamped and colored in using the ink from the Stampin' Write Markers and a water painter. In most cases, the images were colored in and then blended afterwards. Once the image was trimmed down and mounted on Real Red, I was reminded of this sketch. The word "hello" was embossed in black on vellum and then cut out using the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.

This challenge ends at 12PM CST on Monday June 26th. Click on the sketch to link to HSSS416 if you would like to see some other entries.

  1. This is a Wow card! Your coloring is gorgeous! I love how you embossed the word Hello on the vellum. And, by using the vellum you can still see the beautiful image without covering it up. Great card!

    1. Thanks so much! I'm so glad that the vellum is still a current item. It was either that or window sheets.

  2. Julie, this is a wonderful scene! If I had that view, I'd be out in that chair every day, lol. Wonderful coloring, ties perfectly with your CS choices, too - love that bold contrast with the black block! Thanks so much for playing at Hand Stamped Sentiments!
