Create and Share: Circle Sayings Smile

 

The seashells were stamped in a curved pattern on a scrap as a draft of sorts. It had possibilities so it evolved from there. They were colored in with water painters and ink that was transferred to a clear block as a palette. The water and sand was also colored this way but as an afterthought. The test portion was under the circle since the paper had already been embossed. Speaking of afterthoughts, 'Smile' was also stamped after embossing the paper. To do this, a bone folder was used to flatten the embossing. You should do this from the back since it makes the paper shiny.
